Why make it a Challenge?

In the time we are in now, we see that physical activity in the population is decreasing. When using Myworkout GO, the biological age will normally be reduced by 7 years in 8-10 weeks.

In the time we are in now, we see that physical activity in the population is decreasing. At the same time, constant changes in everyday life make it difficult to maintain a stable habit of activity. Do you recognise your self? An activity competition with colleagues can provide good motivation to move more in everyday life. It can make you more equipped to get back to the good old normal we've longed for. This is where we can help 👊

Myworkout works to motivate employees in companies to an active lifestyle. With fun competitions and a health app developed in collaboration with NTNU, we create a positive conversation among colleagues. At the same time, we manage to reduce the biological age of everyone who participates. When using Myworkout GO, the biological age will normally be reduced by 7 years in 8-10 weeks.

Why an activity competition?

Research shows that physical activity has a positive effect on sickness absence, productivity and how you feel at work. Our job is to ensure that all employees are motivated to move more in their everyday lives. The advice we give is based on research on exercise and physiology that has a positive effect on our health.

Our health and fitness offer suits you at any time, but perhaps especially well now that an entire population has to be trained again after long periods in the home office and perhaps corona disease. Then training towards a common goal can be unifying for colleagues, while training with the app can be carried out both outdoors, indoors, during the day and in the evening. When is determined by each individual using the app.

"I feel that I have a little more to go on - that I have more surplus. There is a lot of motivation with the app itself." - Annbjørn, 43 years

This is how the competition works

In the competition, all employees are divided into teams that fight to collect training points. The competition runs over 4-12 weekly matches that your team can win. Every Sunday at midnight, the points are added up and a weekly winner is chosen. The points are then reset to zero and a new weekly match starts. The winner of the competition is finally decided based on the best average ranking in all weekly matches. We reward activity, not achievement.

When you have settled into your team you will be able to see an overview of all the members of your team, and a log showing who has contributed points to the competition. You can also write to each other in the same activity log. The scoreboard shows how many points each team has this week in the competition, and stars in "gold", "silver" and "bronze" show the place the team has had each week since the competition started. Only your teammates can see your activity, for the others in the competition you are anonymous.

How to get started?

In order to create great engagement around an activity competition, it is important that all participants receive good information from the start. The communication should motivate increased physical activity. We want to convey the importance of making exercise a natural part of everyday life. The health advice we give is adapted to the individual's physical starting point and training goals. This is also an important part of the onboarding in the app. There is a low threshold to participate.
