Handicap points for Uneven Teams

When there is a noticeable imbalance in the number of participants between teams, we enable handicap points. Our algorithm takes into account the size and capability of each team to adjust the scores, thereby providing a more fair competition.

Rationale:

Implementing handicap points serves multiple purposes:

  1. Balanced Competition: Without this adjustment, teams with more participants would have an unfair advantage, which could discourage smaller teams and harm overall morale.

  2. Incentive for Effort: Handicap points also act as a motivating factor for those who are already in good shape, pushing them to work even harder to impact the team score.

  3. Team Cohesion: The system encourages everyone on the team to contribute, reinforcing the idea that every member plays a crucial role in 'carrying the boat.'

By employing a handicap system, we aim to make the competition accessible and exciting for all teams, regardless of their size or collective capability.
